Could the Aquaman Movie save the DCU?

Say what you want about the DCU’s current shape. But we can’t deny that many of us are really looking forward to the Aquaman Movie.

Aquaman’s best trailer yet!

I would even venture to say that Warner Brothers are betting it all on him. All of the trailers, even that long 5 minute extended trailer, have knocked it out of the park for viewers. Now, they have a sweet deal going with Amazon. No, not Wonder Woman’s Amazons. What deal is that? Glad you asked.

If you’re not already a Prime Member, you might want to consider becoming one.

Amazon is offering their prime members the opportunity to see the Aquaman Movie on Dec. 15th instead of the 21st. Prime members can purchase up to 10 tickets each! You guys know that this means, right? Someone has a lot of confidence in this movie! And that’s a very good sign.

Half of my friends disagree with me, but I find Justice League to be an embarrassment. Not that the movie was the worst film I’ve ever seen. It’s just that, production-wise, it was a disaster. Having said that, I’m a huge fan of DC in general and I continue to hold Man of Steel of one of my favorite comic book movies of all time. Fight me!

The Aquaman Movie is going to blow Justice League out of the water. Let's bet on it.
He was OK in Justice League

Now, I’m not the biggest fan of Jason Momoa (He killed it as Khal Drogo but sucked as Conan…those sword skills were unmatched though), however I do like him as this new take on Aquaman. I don’t have a lot of faith in that Shazam movie but if Aquaman can win over audiences, it may not matter that Wonder Woman 1984 leaped her skinny behind all the way into a 2020 release date.

My fingers are crossed for this film. The DCU needs a win. And it certainly deserves more than what Warner Brothers has given it. That’s for sure.
