The Godzilla King of the Monsters Trailer is Monstrous!
If you didn’t care for the first Godzilla movie, I won’t judge you. But the sequel, Godzilla King of the Monsters, just might make up for that.
Now, I know it’s just a trailer. I know. But this looks really good, doesn’t it? Starring is Stranger Things’s Millie Bobby Brown, The Conjuring’s Vera Farmiga, The Last Samurai’s Ken Watanabe and Game of Thrones’s Charles Dance, just to name several.

What could possibly go wrong, right? Well…quite a bit if I’m being honest.
Remember Kong: Skull Island? The Shared Universe film introducing us to a new King Kong. That had a rather strong cast too. And it was decent at best. Ok fine! I still watch it everytime it happens to come on HBO. But that’s me. Let’s just say it was barely good enough, critically.

The first Godzilla film had its’ moments. Godzilla himself was great! But it had some serious pacing issues for me.

This trailer showed a lot of awesome. We got a decent look at King Ghidorah, one of Zilla’s most hated enemies. And the infamous Mothra. I mean sure, you got me sold on the monster battles. But what about the story, right?

This time around, it seems the humans are playing a more vital role, instead of just Kaiju fodder. Our supposed main character, Millie, has some sort of connection to Godzilla himself, making way for a form of communication. I know a lot of people are going to have a problem with this for their own reasons but I totally embrace it. It’ll easily add more meat to the grill and again, give the humans more purpose.

I just hope this movie does well enough to warrant the next installment, which
Godzilla: King of the Monsters releases in theaters in May 31st 2019
